Karim’s investments have included a wide range of real estate assets: single-family homes, condo projects, apartment buildings, shopping centers, commercial and industrial buildings, hotels, undeveloped land, and mixed-use and special-use properties. In 1984, Karim became the first investor and developer to convert an industrial building in downtown Los Angeles into artist lofts – a strategy that has become a multi-billion dollar trend since that first project.

Karim writes, teaches, and speaks about real estate frequently. He has been published in over 115 business and real estate publications nationwide, as well as 42 newsletters and e-zines.

On a personal level, Karim enjoys reading, tennis, skiing, and traveling. Most importantly, Karim is passionate about helping others. For almost 40 years, he has committed—and never failed—to help at least one person every single day.
